Matthew is widely regarded as an expert in the fields of driver education, licensing systems, road user behaviour and public policy. His 20-year career includes major projects such as the development and implementation of the NSW RTA/RMS Driving Test (2006-2008), and the roll-out of a new licensing test in the United Arab Emirates with VicRoads International in 2009. Matthew has been involved with Rotary’s RYDA program since 1999, and PRS continues this association today by sponsoring the initiative in the NSW Central West each year. He is a member of the Australasian College of Road Safety, and is a former board member of the Australian Driver Trainers Association.
Adrian has a background in Automotive Engineering, making him the perfect person to explain complex mechanical processes and concepts in simple, everyday language that novice drivers can easily understand. In addition to his work with learner drivers, Adrian regularly delivers lectures at PCYC Traffic Offender Intervention Programs across the region. He is an active Rural Fire Service volunteer and is often engaged to deliver training to new recruits, helping to keep them safe while on active duty.
Ian has been assisting PRS Principal Matthew Irvine to deliver various young driver education programs since 2005. Obtaining a Driving Instructors Licence was a natural progression, allowing Ian to further promote safer driving strategies to all drivers, young and old.
Ian has been competing in motorsport since the age of nine, including a full season competing in the Australian Rally Championship. An active member of the Bathurst Light Car Club management committee, Ian competes in local club level motorsport, and particularly enjoys assisting junior competitors. While his background in motorsport gifts Ian an innate knowledge of cars and an expert understanding of vehicle control, he also understands the difference between safe driving on the road and competitive motorsport.
